LI SGeL Alumni now AALISG

French adore acronyms and I adore them 😉 Just a couple of days ago I visited my old school, the Lycée International de St. Germain-en-Laye (see also wikpedia articles about the school and about the town ) and shot a few photos. Reichstag tour

Every time I see the installation “DER BEVÖLKERUNG” at the Reichstag in Berlin, I can’t suppress a smile. It is an answer or a reaction to the dedication on the building “DEM DEUTSCHEN VOLKE”, which, as many point out is a funny way of phrasing.  In English, it could be translated as “to the German people”.  A designation also means, that somebody is actually designating this building as a gift:   “here you are, German people, you may use this building, but I , the German Kaiser, own it.”

A “subset” of my Reichstag photos can be found here, the full set, including the group photos can be found here.
